Obituary “And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken to her from the Lord.” Luke 1:45 Dr. Anteria Blanford 73, was born April 29, 1949, to the union of Lucinda and David Blanford Sr. in Buena Vista, Georgia. She was the third of thirteen children. Her parents, one son Darryl Williams, one brother David Blanford Jr., sister Mary Lynn, adopted brother William "Big Boy '' Walters, one nephew Leon Robinson Jr., two nieces Sylvia Wilson and Annena L. Blanford all preceded her in death. Ann, as we called her, received her formal education in the Kansas City Missouri Public Schools. She attended Manual High School "Class of 1967.” She further her education in Seattle Washington. Ann married the love of her life, Wesley R. (aka Coast to Coast) Williams; to this union came Darryl (aka Yockey) Williams. Later, she married Edward (aka Rickie) Heard which also ended. Ann was employed at AT&T in the Accounting department and transferred to several other departments before retiring. She worked from 1970 thru 1993. She then started her own business "Anteria's Promise" Flower Shop. Later, she became a realtor and sold real estate. She could not remain still, she returned to AT&T for another three years. She was later employed by ADT and later worked in the financial Department at Swope Ridge. The last position she held was for the Kansas City Election Board. Ann accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She attended A New Dimension of a Deeper Life in Christ Church, under the Leadership of Evangelist Richardene Phillips known as "Sister Ricci" for several years. She later joined New Home Church of God in Christ under the Leadership of Dr. Arthur Perkins. She went on to join the Greater Pentecostal Temple under the Leadership of Bishop Marvin E. Donaldson, where she remained a member until her passing. Ann received numerous Diplomas in Bible Course Studies from the World Bible School Ministry and Faith Bible College. On November 10, 2009, she was ordained and received her Credentials of Ministry, which provided her with rights and privileges to perform all duties of the Ministry. On August 13, 2010, she was awarded a Doctor of Universal Life Degree from Universal Life Church. God blessed her with a ministry where she used her gifts of the spirit. She spent most of her time fasting and praying for many people. She was about God’s business and encouraging others to have unwavering faith in His word. Ann departed this Earthly life for her Heavenly home on Sunday July 24, 2022, at her residence. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter in law Sandra Rivers-Williams, seven grandchildren, twins Darrell (Rachel), Darius whom she called her boys, Cory Chase, Deron Winn, Makiel Rogers, Anthony Hampton, and Joanna Williams; and nine great grandchildren. Four brothers, Colonel Blanford, Raymond Blanford (Gina), Floyd Blanford (Serenia), and Aaron Blanford all of Kansas City, MO; seven sisters, LaVern Arnold (Bill) Atlanta, Ga., Patricia Blanford-Williams, Judy Reese (Reese), Estella Noel (Buster), Bessie Blanford, Patricia Blanford-Williams, Centoriz Perkins (Danny) and Belinda Lucas (Rudolph); thirty-three nephews and nieces; and a host of great nephews and nieces, great-great nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends and a special friend who she called her daughter Debra Rae. We thank God for our beloved sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend Ann; for how she has touched and blessed so many people in her lifetime. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 6, 2022, 11:00am at Watkins Heritage Chapel. Visitation will be held from 9am-11am at the chapel. Service conducted by Lawrence A.
