Mother Anna Stuart

Anna Roberta Stuart entered this life on August 10, 1932, to the proud parents of Clifford and Viola Jackson. Anna received her education in the Kansas City, Missouri School district. She later attended Aline Jefferson School of Cosmetology where she received her Beauticians License. She was a beautician at Locks Beauty Salon for many years before she decided to accommodate family and friends by doing their hair in her home. Anna met and married Calvin Stuart in 1948 in Kansas City, Mo. They were happily married for 58 years until he went to be with the Lord in October 2006. To this union four children were born, Calvin Jr., Viola Marie, Robert Leon and Yvonne Stuart. Anna attended Abyssinian Baptist Church, pastored by her grandfather Bishop Robert James for many years. Sometime later in life Anna united with Direction for Life Christian Center with Pastor Eddie Goss. Several years after leaving Direction for Life Anna united with Gethsemane Church of God in Christ and served on the Mother Board as well as with the Tuesday Morning Prayer and Food Pantry. Even though she was unable to physically attend church for many years, Anna enjoyed watching the service and taking communion via Facebook, when possible. She loved her church and would send her Tithes, Seed and Offering faithfully every month until her passing. Mother Anna, as she was lovingly called, loved the Lord with her entire being and she let anyone, and everyone know. She not only talked the talk, but she walked the walk. She would always remind us to pray and talk to God about whatever we were troubled with or concerned about. She would remind us that “Gods got it” and “This too shall pass.” She was our prayer warrior. She prayed for her family every night and called out everyone’s name to the Lord. On Monday, March 25, 2024, at 9:00 am, God spoke to Mom to let her know her work here on earth is done and her new home was ready. She prepared her family informing them of what the Lord had told her. She let us know she was ready to go and be with the Lord and he was ready for her. Mom said God has allowed me to live 91 years, and they have been good years and now it's time for me to go home. She informed us of our family obligations. She reminded us to love one another, take care of one another, be kind to one another, be there for one another, call one another, help one another always have each other's back, never let anything ever come between us, because we are family. At 11:43 pm at St. Lukes North, God said, Well done my good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of thy lord, at that moment Mom left her earthly home and entered her heavenly home. Anna was preceded in death by both her parents, Clifford Jackson and Viola Adams, her brother Warren Jackson, her husband, Calvin Stuart, Sr., her sons, Calvin Stuart, Jr., and Robert Leon Stuart and her granddaughter, Tina Diane Stuart. She leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her memories her daughters, Halema (Malik) Rachmann, Raeford, North Carolina, Yvonne (Edward) Hopkins, Kansas City, Mo., 10 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren, 8 Great Great Grandchildren,nieces, nephews, family, and friends.We will always love and miss the person we know as Momma, Grandma, Grandma Anna, and Pumpkin Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024,11am at Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Interment Monday, April 8, 11am Leavenworth Nat'l Cem, LVNKS. Visitation from 10am-11am at the chapel. Service Conducted by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel.
