Mr. Allan Andrew Shelton

Allan Andrew Shelton was born March 28, 1988, in Kansas City, MO to Arthur and Rosalind Shelton. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Arthur and Mattie Shelton; maternal grandparents, Rudolph and Helen Rhodes; nephew, Anthony Champion; niece, Ryneecia Shelton; aunts and uncles, Ann and Arthur Hubbard, Doris Peeler, Fred and Lorene Sonnier, William and Brenda Rhodes, Roland Rhodes, Clyde Yarbro, and Ruth Rhodes; cousins, Andre Sonnier, Randall Shade, Kevin Rhodes, Darrick Rhodes, Sr, and Deryl Hubbard, Sr. Allan attended school in the Kansas City, Missouri Public School District. He graduated from Southeast High School in 2006. After high school, Allan worked at Air Gas and later went on to work at American Crane and Tractor as a Forklift Driver until he became ill in 2016. Allan had an infectious smile. He had a twin brother and is the youngest of the Shelton kids. Allan and his twin, Arthur were born one minute a part and Arthur would frequently taunt him by calling him “little bro” which he truly hated. Allan and Arthur were known as the life of the party. Allan would always tell jokes and have everyone laughing. He loved to spend time with his family. His nieces and nephews loved when he carved their pumpkins for Halloween. He enjoyed watching sports, playing spades, dominoes, and blackjack (21+3) at the Casino, and listening to music. Allan was a lover of cars, especially the Chevy Monte Carlo and watching sideshows. His shoe collection was one of kind, he had every Jordan that was released with the hat to match. Allan leaves to cherish his memory; his parents, Arthur and Rosalind Shelton; brothers, Ryan (Leticia) Shelton; and Arthur (Channing) Shelton III; sisters, Raichelle; and Raimonda Shelton; nephews, Ryon Shelton; Myles King; Arthur Shelton IV; Brayden Greening; and Aidyn Shelton; nieces, Veronica Johnson; Bria Greening; Aaliyaa McBeth; Jordyn Shelton; Jada Shelton; Rhyan Shelton; and Ryleigh Shelton; great nieces and nephews, Raniyah; Kaelynn; Dakari; Tajh; and Tayten; uncles, Rudolph Rhodes III, Reginald (Donna) Rhodes, & David Shelton, Sr; aunts, Hazel Yarbro; and Regina (Kenneth) Shade; a special friend, Tanea Jones; bonus children, Ta’Ryan Wilson; Promise Jones; Taya Hall; and Ma’Ryah Jackson; bonus granddaughter, Ta’Ryah Wilson; a host of family; and friends. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church 3634 Brooklyn Avenue KCMO 64109. Interment: Forest Hill Cemetery.
