Mrs. Alice Bryant

Obituary Alice Marie Windon was born on April 22, 1942 in Campti, Louisiana. to Oscar and Anglee Windon. She accepted Christ at an early age uniting with Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church. After graduating from Central High School in Natchitoches, Louisiana she relocated to Kansas City, Missouri, uniting with Prince of Peace Missionary Baptist Church. Alice moved her membership to 35th Street Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor R.C. Black. While at 35th street she served as a Youth Counselor, Sunday school teacher, usher, and financial secretary. Years later she moved her membership to Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church and served faithful with the ushers and Sunday school until her health failed her. In 1959 she united in holy Matrimony to Clarence Thomas Sr., who preceded her in death. To this union four children born. Clarence Jr., Gregory, Oscar, and Marquitta Thomas. Years later Alice was united in Holy Matrimony to Charles Bryant who also preceded her in death. She was employed at AT&T for 27 years. After retirement she continued to work as a license Cosmetologist. Alice (also known as Bee) favorite hobbies were shopping, watching soap opera and spending time family and friends. Alice M Bryant departed this life on December 5, 2022, surrounded with family as she went home to be with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her father Oscar Lee Windon Sr.; Mother Anglee Windon, sons Clarence Thomas Jr.; Oscar Thomas, brothers Oscar Windon Jr.; Charles Windon and sister Rosie Pearl Nash. She leaves to cherish her memory son, Gregory Thomas, Daughter Marquitta Thomas. Grandchildren, Clarence Thomas III (Christina), Alycia Hightower, Leslie Collins, Sehondria Thomas, Damon Thomas. Seven great-grandchildren. Sisters Betty Windon, Earnestine Johnson of Kansas City, Mo.; Katherine Holmes (Melvin) of Natchitoches, La. Brother James Windon of Grandview, Mo. Sister- in- law JoAnn Windon of Kansas City, Mo. A longtime companion James Brown Sr, of Kansas City, Mo. A host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 10, 2022, 3:00pm at 35th Street. Missionary Baptist Church 5315 E. 35th Street KCMO. Interment Brooking Cemetery.
