ALBERT EUGENE BROWN, SR.

Obituary Albert Eugene Brown, Sr, 62 years of age, was born on June 18, 1958, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the fifth child born into a loving Christian family to Rev. Willie Brown, Sr. and Gladys Johnney Brown. Albert departed this life on Wednesday, August 26, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Willie, Sr., and Gladys Brown; one brother, James Brown, Sr.; three sisters, Philis Webb, Maggie Brown Tramble, and Teresa McClendon. Albert accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He was educated in the Kansas City, Missouri School District and graduated from Central High School Class of 1976. He also attended DeVry where he received a certificate in Computer Science. He was affectionately called “Mr. Brown” by family and friends. Co-workers knew him as “AL Brown”. The grandchildren called him PawPaw, Grandpa or, per Tres “Cool Dude”. Albert was very kindhearted and worked for Merchants Delivery and Services For Seniors. Albert also worked at Coca-Cola Bottling Company. He loved his career as a truck driver. Albert retired from Sysco Food Services. Albert was united in marriage to Mitzi Southard. He was a humble man of few words. He loved basketball and “hot rods”. He was a good husband and my best friend, great father and listener. He taught the children about God and his spirit will live on through his children, grandchildren, and all who came to know him. He always asked them to be respectful, polite and the best people they can be. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Mitzi Brown; three sons Albert Brown, Jr, (Chauntoya) Brian Brown, Sr, (Crystal), and Mark Brown; two daughters, Marketta Brown and Michelle Brown; six grandsons, Albert Brown, III, Amias Brown, Alex Comer, Anthony Ash, Brian Brown Jr, Lee Mason Jr,; four granddaughters, Danika Comer, Echo Comer, Aleigha Brown, and Marrisha Brown; one brother, Willie Brown, Jr. (Betty); one sister, Toni Brown; two sisters-in-law Thelma Bryant; Susie Brown, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 5th, 2020 at Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Linwood Chapel. Private Disposition.
