Obituary Life Reflections for Alan W. Williams, Sr., Alan was the second born of Vernon L. Williams and Mary L. Woods on October 9th 1955. Beginning his life in Paris, Texas - he would affectionately joke about being born in ‘Paris’ (referencing France). At the age of 5, ‘Wayne’ s family moved to Kansas City, Missouri. Here he would complete his general education in the Kansas City Public School District as a Manualite - graduating from Manual High School in 1973. Throughout life, his love of sports continuously grew - whether playing or watching, from little league to professional (especially those CHIEFS). His next life adventures would include growing his family with children and in marriage, joining the AirForce, becoming a medical and dental professional, and traveling nationally as well as abroad. He worked his entire life - even working up until his final days. He ended his medical career as a Nursing Home Professional, assisting and creating lasting relationships with residents, co-workers, and visitors. Alan was a firm believer in GOD and Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior - living his life in no fear and full of love. His final days were spent receiving the care and comfort from his Medical family that he had so often provided. On February 7th of 2023, Alan left this life surrounded by family, love, and music. He was preceded in death by both parents, his brother Curtis and sister Dia, his grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, family and friends whom he held so dear. There are still so many that remain who will cherish their time with and the life of Alan Wayne Williams Sr. Included are his wife Denise L. Williams, 4 children Erick Blackwell of Texas, Deric (LaKeyshia) Canady of KCMO, Latrice Williams of KCMO, and Alan (Toni) Williams Jr of KCMO. His two bonus-daughters Jada (Mark) Taylor, and Melody Taylor. A total of 15 Gruns (grandchildren) and 2 great Gruns. He will also be forever cherished by his 5 sisters (Tammi, Sherry, Pam, Paula, Sarita), as well as a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, and many many friends Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 25, 2023, 2:00pm at the Watkins Heritage Chapel.
