Antione Armstrong

Antione Armstrong, lovingly called by his family as ?Deacon Antione? was the ninth child and a fraternal twin born July 31, 1959, to the union of Warren and Veola Bullock Armstrong at Kansas University Hospital of Kansas City, Kansas. A Season to die- Antione Armstrong departed this life at home and began his Heavenly journey on Thursday, November 23, 2017, on Thanksgiving Day. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, brothers Michael Armstrong, Keith Armstrong and Warren Armstrong-Jabali. His Family moved to Kansas City, Missouri when he and his twin and his twin sisters were small children. A Season to live- Antione completed his high school education at Central Academy of Excellence, Class of 1977, in Kansas City, Missouri. While attending high school he participated in the ROTC Program for four (4) years and was certified to enlist in the United States Army as a Private E3. After High School he attended the University of Missouri at Kansas City and Penn Valley Community College of Kansas City, Missouri. Antione became employed with UMB Bank where he was a dedicated employee for over thirty (30) years. Antione accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Pastor Earl Abel of Palestine Missionary Baptist Church of Kansas City, Missouri. Later in adulthood he became a devoted member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church under the Pastoral leadership of Reverend Emanuel Johnson. In September of 2006, he joined the Membership of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church under the direction of Pastor James A. Terrance where he had been a faithful and active member. Antione loved attending Worship Services, Bible Study and was an active member of the Sunday School Class Number Three (3) and the Greeters Ministry. He also loved to bowl, travel, and attend parades, musical concerts and all other activities and events that allowed him the opportunity to socialize in rain, sunshine, sleet, or snow. Antoine Armstrong leaves to cherish his memory, his brothers: Gregory Armstrong, Sr. (Georgia) of Lee?s Summit, Missouri, Reginald Armstrong, Sr. (Carol) of Grandview, Missouri, Sheldon ?Turnie? Armstrong of Houston, Texas, and his twin, Andre Armstrong of Kansas City, Missouri; three (3) sisters: Sherri Armstrong, Yolanda Armstrong, and Rhonda Armstrong-Hardeway of Kansas City, Missouri; he also leaves a host of relatives; The Armstrong/Haley/Jones/Darrough Family, of Missouri and Arkansas; the Bullock/Graham Family of Chicago, Illinois; and the Armstrong/Jabali?s of Miami, Florida; and a host of other relatives and extended family. Funeral Service for Antoine Armstrong will be held Saturday, December 2, 10:00 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church, 3530 Chelsea Drive. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the Church. Interment: Twelve Gates Cemetery.
