(Harris) Hudson, Grandad to Tamila D. Harris, Herbert Brandon Harris, Caleb M. Hudson (Breanna) (Corona, Ca.), Natasha Harris (Sitka, Alaska), Elijah A. Harris, Gabriel C. Dad attended Nearman Elementary School, North East Junior High School, Sumner high school, and later received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from St. Mary's College.
He served 20 years in the United States Air Force, more than 20 years at General Electric Company and after retiring he was a substitute teacher for the Kansas City Kansas Schools District. He also was a mentor to the youth in the 59th St. community. He served as a Deacon at first Baptist Church of Quindaro for 31 years.
Growing up Dad was a father figure to so many young people who would come to him for advice and guidance, but sometimes what they received was stern, but loving chastening that was only appreciated much later in life when realized that he probably saved you from making some bad choices.
