James E. Wyatt was born in Lamar County, Mississippi on February 22, 1934 to the union of John Wyatt, Sr. and Marie Vera Wyatt. He was the fourth of seven sons born to this union. His parents and six brothers, John Wyatt, Douglas Wyatt, Eugene Wyatt, Carl Wyatt, Billy Wyatt and Bernard Wyatt all preceded him in death.
James moved to Hattiesburg (Forrest County) Mississippi at an early age and attended Eureka Elementary and Middle School. He attended Royal Street High School later renamed Rowan High School. After high school he enlisted in the U. S. Army and served for four years. After leaving the Army he returned back to Hattiesburg ro be with his family.
James later moved to Kansas City, Missouri and began working for Braniff Air Lines at the Kansas City International Airport for many years. He later worked at the Holiday Inn and H. B. Fuller Adhesive Manufacturing Company. On November 19, 1963 he was united in marriage to the former Cloree Williams, there were no children born to this union. She also preceded him in death.
James was a faithful member of the Fellowship Baptist Church until his health began to fail. He was a loving uncle and was greatly loved ny his nephews and nieces, he had a nickname for each one of them. He will be greatly missed by all.
He departed this life on Sunday, May 22, 2022. He leaves to cherish his memory, Jean Anderson, his special lady for many years who cared for him and was by his side every day until he passed away, sister-in-laws, Bonnie Jean Wyatt and Doris Wyatt; nephews, Billy Wyarr (Charity) and Alfred Wyatt, Jr. (Theiann), many special nieces, church family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 27, 2022, 11:00am at Fellowship Baptist Church. Interment Tuesday, May 31, 12:30pm Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10am-11am at the church. Services conducted by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Condolence maybe shared on our website.
