Vincent Eugene Pooler, 39, departed this life on March 7, 2018, at 6:14 a.m. at the Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri.
Vincent was born on July 27, 1978, in Kansas City, Missouri to Rodney McGauther and Henrietta Pooler Wallace.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Marguerite Williams, his father, Rodney McGauther, and an uncle, Gary Williams.
Vincent grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated from Van Horn High School in Independence, Missouri in 1996. In high school, Vincent was on the Honor Roll and was named “Best Dressed” among his peers. Vincent attended college at Metropolitan Community College in Kansas City where he received a Certification in Computers. Vincent began working at the Kansas City, Missouri Water Department as an Equipment Operator and was a devoted employee for nineteen years.
Vincent married his soul mate, Sylvia Selene Wright on October 7, 2005. Vincent lived life to the fullest. He and Sylvia loved to travel, dance, and spend quality time enjoying each other's company. Vincent loved football and basket ball and was a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan.
Vincent was a devoted and caring husband that was loved by many. He always had a beautiful smile and was loved by his family unconditionally. He was a dedicated worker, very protective, a gentleman, very handsome and he loved fashion. Vincent was a sharp dresser that loved to dance. He was an amazing husband that loved to travel and shop. He never denied his wife anything. Vincent was a responsible, independent, hard-working, handsome man. He will be definitely missed.
Vincent Eugene Pooler leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife, Sylvia Wright-Pooler; his mother, Henrietta Wallace; sisters, Monica Pooler and Luceta Wright-Hudson (Fred Hudson); uncles, Henry Pooler and Robert Pooler; mother-in-law, Deloris Wright; special cousins, Ashley Schwark and Tanisa Pooler; two special friends, Adam Henderson and Christopher Ragsdale; nieces, De’Esha Graves (William) and Lakia Adams; and a host of loving relatives and friends.
Funeral Service for Vincent Eugene Pooler will be held Saturday, March 17, 11:00 a.m. at the Lawrence A. Jones and Sons Funeral Chapel, 1800 E. Linwood Blvd.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel.
Interment, Brooking Cemetery.
