Horacio R. O’Neal was born on August 4, 1962, in Kansas City Missouri, to William L. Roberts, Sr. and Tommiecene Epps O’Neal.
Horacio departed this life on March 23, 2018.
He was preceded in death by his mother, a brother, Valdeaz O’Neal, and a sister, Linda Epps.
Horacio remained living in the greater Kansas City area and graduated from Bishop Hogan High School. After graduation, he became a member of the Air Force Reserves until he was Honorably Discharged.
After being discharged from the Air Force, he explored several job adventures, but could never find his passion. He then decided to try the field of being a Security Officer. He ended up working in venues around the greater Kansas City Metropolitan area as a “Bouncer”. The family is pretty sure this is when “Dion” was born. This was his alter ego and it fit him well. He loved this type of work and was very well known throughout the community. He chose this career path as he has always been a Protector of others.
Horacio was the friendliest person you could ever come to know, and the biggest jokester you would ever meet. You never knew if he was being serious or just giving you a hard time. He was the kind of person who would do anything for you if it was in his power. His spirt just made you want to be around him.
Horacio R. O’Neal leaves to mourn his passing, dad, William L. Roberts, Sr. and step-mother, Linnie Roberts both of Kansas City, Missouri; two brothers, William L. Roberts, Jr. of Kansas City, Missouri and Avery O’Neal, Jr. (Carolyn) of Cedarville, Ohio; two sisters, Sandra Hollowell (Keith) of Sherwood, Arkansas and Yolanda Roberts of Blue Springs, Missouri; five nephews: Avery M.
