Frances D. Richardson was born on April 21, 1935, to William and Nellie Smith. She was the youngest of six beloved siblings who have all preceded her in death.
Frances departed this life on March 25, 2018.
She was preceded in death by her parents, six siblings, Harry J., Jesse E., Joseph P. Smith and her one and only big sister, Nellie Love.
Frances attended W.W. Yates, R.T. Coles, and Lincoln High School. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Edward Richardson and joined him in travel as he served in the United States Air Force. They were married for fifty-two years until his death in 2014.
Frances worked a variety of jobs before becoming a stay-at-home wife and mom. She accepted Christ at an early age with her only sister, Nellie Love. She enjoyed her hobbies of making pottery and solving all sorts of puzzles and word games. She enjoyed her bus trips, playing “Bid Whist”, but most of all spending time with her family and friends.
Frances D. Richardson leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Edwanda Richardson; brother-in-law, Wardell Love; her beloved nieces, Patrice Mann (Kirby and Brittany) of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Shirley Childress, JoAnn Smith, Stephanie Mack and family all of Kansas City, Missouri, Gina Smith and family of Austin, Texas, Vanessa Freeman and Druchelle Ware and family of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; nephews: Michael Love (Paula and family) Ronald Love (her Compass) and family of Kansas City, Missouri, Cameron Dillingham of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Billie Freeman and family of Pirtleville, Arizona; her cousins: Francine Fulbright, Maxine Carnes, and Louise Mott; her special traveling buddies, Sharon, Bernie, and Evelyn; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing Service for Frances D. Richardson will be held Thursday, April 5, from 9:30 a.m. until 12:00 p. at the Lawrence A. Jones and Sons Funeral Chapel, 1800 E. Linwood Blvd.
Interment, Leavenworth National Cemetery.
